One Halloween, probably same time as yours, my cousin Serge showed me the knife he had hidden in his boots in case anyone tried to steal our candies… He was hardcore about the loot.

Growing up, as we got to Jr. High, we all claimed that instead of trick or treating we would all go around stealing candy from little kids. We’d brag about it before we left school on Halloween and, the next day, boast of our conquests. I don’t know that anybody actually did it though. I know I never did.

I’m really glad now I never did it. I’d probably still feel guilty about it.
