Back Off!

Personal Bits

I’m too young to have searing back pain!

I guess I pulled my back while I slept. I hate the fact that I didn’t (consciously) experience the thing that made me feel so stiff right now. I feel like a walking back pain ad.

I dreamt it was the day after what I knew to be a failed one night stand. The guy I slept with was totally into me and I was totally trying to gnaw my arm off to escape. I’m sure you’ve experienced the “I should have cut and run but I passed ou/fell asleep instead of getting dressed and going home and now I have to have breakfast with him/her” syndrome. It was kind of nightmarish to see myself try to make excuses to go. And in the dream I kept finding things in this person’s room (a composite of a childhood friend and a certain Muddy York rugby player) that was setting off alarm bells: dirty laundry, weird torn posters and roommates sleeping in the same room.

Then the dream changed and I was a record producer trying to sign a alien lizard act to my company. We were dancing on elevated platforms and mine went 30 stories too high. I think thats where my back went out.

Solar rings in the right places can be such a fashion risk…but without risk comes no reward…!!!

    you’re not that young.

embrace the painkillers and muscle relaxants, whether prescribed by your doctor or some guy on a street corner.

To see a  glow in your dream, symbolizes enlightenment and that new light has been shed onto a situation. You have gained a fresh perspective and reached a welcomed understanding.

I really think it was to do with you coupling up and negotiating around the mundane tasks at hand: Where do “we” put “our” cereal boxes? What colour is “our” colour? How come Sharkboy has so many toothbrushes? If your arm goes there, where does my elbow rest? Both aliens and lizards are about surroundings and instincts: Just don’t bitch at each other for the small stuff. It is the beginning of a “different” stage in your relationship.

    My two-bits.

You see what happens when you come to my building for a visit, you bring back all sorts of weird subconscience shit with you to process at night time!

Hockey: That cartoon nearly got Chuck Jones an Oscar. I want a laser gun at work. And a jumpsuit with little circular cuffs and collar accents.

Anna: What does it mean if the two lizards are aliens and somewhat different species? One was tallish and the other squat. And they “glowed at the seams”. There was light coming from under their scales, that’s why I thought they were aliens.

I’ll try to get another pic of Manky soon.

To see a lizard in your dream, signifies your primal instincts and reactions toward sex, food, etc. and your anxieties toward these feelings. The lizard can also be representative of a person who you view as cold-blooded, fearful, or thick-skinned. On a more positive note, the lizard also symbolizes emerging creativity, renewal, and revitalization. It may also suggest that you are well-grounded.

To see aliens in your dream , signifies that you are having difficulties adapting and adjusting to your new surroundings. You are feeling “alienated” and invaded.  You are also having difficulties in how to handle or deal with a certain situation or person. On a psychological level, seeing aliens may represent an encounter with an unfamiliar or neglected aspect of your own self.

I think it is the move, the “settling down” thing, maybe? (Can we have another picture of Manky?)

Wasn’t there a cartoon about that in the early “Bugs Bunny” style….a guy finds a singing frog who doesn’t sing except when the frog is alone with the guy….the end shot is some guy in the “future”…something like 2010 with space cars and stuff flying by, who is using a “laser” gun to take down the building where the first guy buried the frog after it drove him to bankrupcy…???

If you ever DO find an alien lizard act to produce I will do everything in my power to promote it. Especially if there’s dancing on platforms involved. It’s got $$$ written all over it.
