Bearforce 1

Queer stuff

Neither bear, nor forceful. A shame it’s becoming #1. No I won’t link to it. Yougletube it.

To quote a few of the comments on one of their videos:

• as the first straight male bear activist, i am appalled at their lack of true bearness/hair.

• yep.. the bear scene is officially dead. it’s now a bad pepsi commercial with scary twinks with beards.. very sad.

• omg i go to new haven high school and we have bearforce1 tshirts we all love these guys :o)

If a straight guy can see that there’s actually only one bear in the group, then the sub-culture of “bear” has obtained Britney status. And it will become a gay meme fast. I’ve already been tipped off to this three times.

Attention next generation of homosexuals! Time to stop riding the last 40 years of culture and create your own. Ours has been co-opted by big business.

They wear white pants and pastels.
    They can’t really sing.
    They can’t really dance.
    They sing 80’s medleys.

I know a few people who would fit right in.

I remember a time when “bear” meant anyone furry, whether they were tall or short, big or small.
GAWD I think I just aged myself again!

The Bear culture’s been kind of a joke for a few years now, and it’s always been more exclusive than inclusive.

just make them a new sub-species like Muscle bears, polar bears, otters etc…we can now have twinkie bears and faux bears, like a faux finish…attractive to the eye but not real? LOL

You know I appreciate it when you give me content subject, daryl!

I’m concerned that if you slap a beard on a twink (no offense) you get to call him a bear. For god sakes! Two of them have washboard abs!!

I love the idea of a straight male bear activist! I bet he’s got cheesie stains all over his fingers.

that’s interesting, and a reaction I wasn’t really expecting. i mean i guess i DID stumble across the video at like 4:00 in the morning, so maybe i wasn’t that clued in. i was however awake enough to realize only one of them really seemed bearish.

i guess it’s kind of like the nu-punk thing. top 40 stuff that really has nothing to do with punk, subculture, or subversion.

also, what is a straight male bear activist? the concept sounds horrid.

also, do i have to give up my “chaser” status?
