Home From The Holidays

Personal Bits

Hi kids! It was robots galore for me this year! I finally got Rock’Em Sock’Em Robots (about 38 yrs late, but very welcome, for sure) as well as the new Blade Runner DVD. Throw in a custom Dead Robot hat and it was a faboo season!

We were all sick when we got to Vermont. I and Sharkboy were on the tail end of a cold, and so was his sister when we arrived. Our brother-in-law managed to pick up some exotic 24 hour bug over Xmas eve that knocked him down hard. Our nephew had a broken hand. Needless to say we didn’t do much but we did have fun.

Pics below. Includes dinner at my brother’s house a few days before going to the US. Enjoy!

So, one of the Xmas gifts you recieve in World of Warcraft is a cute little robot that you can summon and dismiss. When you’re around others with robots they fight each other with rockets. I thought of you.

foolish robot, i thought of you because i was reading the aforementioned article.

and because one of the shower-in-my-underpants guys was in there, wearing soaking wet underpants.

andrew, why would you think of me in the sauna? Was someone spanking it?

hockeyfan: I was gleefully picking apart the new print of BR last night. Considering how much I hated all the revisions Lucas did to the Star Wars series, the work done on Blade Runner all seemed like they were natural and needed.

i thought of you when i was naked in the sauna today.

    /creepy.

i was reading the globe and there was a brief article that made me think you’d been born too soon. in case it gets shifted or removed, the segment deals with david levy and his book love + sex with robots: the evolution of human-robot relationships. the sentence that brought you to mind:

“by 2050, dr. levy believes we’ll be seeing human-robot marriages, so i guess it’s just a matter of time before the apple store starts a wedding registry.”

sorry, sharkboy. the rest of the article is amusing, too, particularly the bit about sluts.

Blade Runner is the all time fav Sci-Fi flick….!!!!!

A grim look at future society, but still a great movie…
